So I just did my transmission fluid change in my 2018 (first owner) and had to remove the 3 skid plate pieces. Some of those retainer hex nuts snapped (rusted out) making the job take a good amount longer. I decided to replace all the hardware that holds the skid plates together.

I don’t think there is any thread that gave accurate info on the parts numbers when I was looking. Even when I went to the dealer for the parts it took us 30 min to figure out what to order. But we were able to get it perfectly. You have to order it in packs and will have a few bolts left over but its not the end of the world.

The new retaining hex nuts are slightly longer than what came from factory but they work perfectly. Maybe they are longer to allow water and debris to pass through? Just a guess.

*****But here is what you will need.*****

QTY 8x -W716831 -Bolt (you will need all 8), 2 packs of 4 pcs

QTY 4x W719161 Bolt & washer set (you will need 2) 1 pack of 4 pcs

QTY 3x W500623 Bolt (you will need 2) 1 pack of 3 pcs

QTY 12x W717634 Nut (you will need 10) 3 packs of 4 pcs

This is my first write up so bear with me if I wasn't through enough.

When I did my first oil change on my '19, I had no idea which skid plates needed to be removed. Needless to say, I made myself a lot of extra work. That said, do yourself a favor and use some anti-seize on all those bolts.

100%! I applied some of that. Luckily the truck lives where it doesn’t snow anymore. Used to be an upstate NY truck for the first few years.
