Stock Farm is the private club by Charles Schwab. All of the member rental homes and clubhouse were built by Rocky. As were many of the private homes. Rocky's facility is about 5 miles away. Gorgeous area.

I have the second edition from 2005. What I like about it, is it gives you easy, medium, hard and a nice description of what you are getting into, and some pics. I might pick this new edition up.

I'd like to do Medano Pass, but it's a trip from Denver.

from the book:

Difficulty: Moderate. Mostly easy with a few steep, rocky spots. Soft sand in park. Numerous water crossings can be deep in the spring.

Features: Back way to Great Sand Dunes National Park. Camp in numbered designated sites only...

Time and Distance: 20.4 miles Allow 1 to 1.5 hours

(this is my commentary) Start on the NE side, end at park entrance because they have an air fill station. at least they used to back in the day.

Great books for finding 4 wheel trails in Colorado as mentioned by Denvertaco07. They recently published the Fourth Edition - Guide to Colorado Backroads & 4-Wheel-Drive Trails and another one that is the Northern Colorado Edition. Highly recommended for finding great trails in Colorado. They also have one for Arizona and Moab, UT that I've used.

Done this one and it's fun. Some sand to be aware of. Would be a bit of a cruise from Denver. Several fun trails in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Try Hayden Pass as it starts on one side of the mountain and ends up on the other side so no need to turn around.

I thought this thread would die a lonely death! But with the interest we should try to do a CO raptor trail run. If we ever get out of this pandemic.

Is the trail from Lake City to Silverton passable in a Raptor? I forgot the name.

I wish I could find a go to trail similar to the stuff at raptor assault. Sounds like that off-road park out east would have been sweet.

What are some of the trails you like to run in Wyoming? I would be interested in making a trip up there.
