Same issue with my 18 with 2k + miles on it. There is a post about this and also Youtube videos to help out. Guy using a N Gauge to show the oil pressure at start up

I was trying to figure out where it was coming from and it was driving me crazy

I was concerned about the cam phasers so, Get your truck ready to start, hold the gas pedal down to the floor ( by doing this it will not start, It does prime the oiling system )

Crank it for 3-5 seconds and then lift up on the pedal while cranking it, it will start up then and see if the noise has gone away.

I`m only repeating what I had read and there's a lot more involved depending where the rattle is from.

I have had the wife cold start the truck while checking the waste gate to see if that was the cause

Time consuming but helpful

Normal. Sounds just like my '19. All Turbocharged Direct Injection engines will sound similar on a cold start. It's part of the cold start strategy that is designed to light off the catalysts and enter closed loop operation as quickly as possible. This includes elevated idle, retarded ignition timing, camshaft timing adjustments, and increased throttle angle. The High Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) is also much more audible at elevated idle.

I’ve heard mine for sure and after reading all the negative talk on here, I would get paranoid but this explanation was perfect. Thanks @FordTechOne
