can you hear the turbo spool inside the cabin with windows up with Cobb?

i remember having open cone style intake on one of my turbo tuner cars and i was able to hear the turbo good.

Yes. Faintly, but more pronounced than with the stock air box.

Big open filter will do the trick. But water and dust will be an issue if you go off pavement much.

I couldn't tell any difference in sound (already knew not to expect performance gains). Bought it at the same time as the Cobb FMIC so it was more of an expensive add on/impulse buy. Oh well - it does look good as others mentioned if you're a pop the hood kinda person.
