You will be glad you did!! The difference between Cobb stage 2 and Goose stage 2 is drastic!!!

Curious what you base that statement on? Not bashing as I have Goosetuned just wondering what you are basing it on..

Based on what???

In very simplistic terms... Cobb Stage 2 is a OTS tune (off the self). Whereas Winfield provides a custom protune. Take a look at the beginning of his thread to see the real difference based on the numbers from the dyno.

Just finished another Raptor. 93oct Stock baseline was really low, torque was low too. Fully learned. Tuned on a Cobb Accessport!

Before and after :)

Impressive, I know 4x4 Alliance are claiming 451 HP and 529 torque with a package ORA 550 which includes the Cobb IC, CAI, spark plugs, tuner with tranny tune and Auto octane which is sweet but I don't remember seeing any graphs.

I don't know if they're pushing their tune that much harder or if it's due to the differences in dynos.

If I remember correctly I think it's tuned by Gearhead.

Not trying to stir up anything it's just that I'm in the market for a great tune myself and am researching as time allows and of course reliability is my top concern.

Is your tune specific to a single octane?

Nice work.

Cobb offers free off the shelf maps for stage 1 “no intercooler “ and stage 2 “with intercooler “. Stage one has individual maps for each grade of fuel, I never looked at the different grades because I only run 93oct. My custom goose tune is set for 93 for stage 2. Cobb will be releasing their tranny tuning very soon.

Differences are likely because of the different dynos. Hard to compare dyno against dyno. What’s also more important to compare is actual gains over the baseline pull. The truck above gained a TRUE 117whp over his baseline of 344whp.

“Auto octane” is no more then a safety measure that is built into the ecu by Ford. I don’t like using the word auto octane because that means the truck has to knock (detonate, pull timing) bad enough for the “auto octane” adjustment to kick in. It should not be used as a ‘one tune fits all octanes’ type thing. I would never advise a customer to run 91oct or lower on my 93oct map. I dial each and every truck in for their own local fuel.
