My dealer heard the noise but isn’t really wanting to replace any parts. I’m trying to be patient but I’ve about had all I can take of the clunk. I believe that this might be a strut mount issue. I’ve used chassis ears and the noise is definitely the loudest on the spring and strut mount area.
So today I ordered a new strut mount to replace it myself. They said the mount is on back order until May 4th.
I know this information isn’t really all that helpful but since the mount is on back order, maybe Ford is aware of an issue.
what did that cost?

I'm happy and saddened that I came across this forum. Echoing many others, bought a new Gen 3 a few weeks back and recently started noticing the clunking sound in my neighborhood. It's now manifested into me listening for it anytime I drive and has ruined a new truck experience. Taking it into my local dealership in Salt Lake City tomorrow and hoping they take the issue seriously.

Has anyone successful gone through a dealership and had this resolved? There seems to be conflicting opinions and solutions throughout this thread. I appreciate anyone's input!!

Mine is at the dealer now.
They opened a ticket to corporate, I should have an answer tomorrow.
Will let you know.

All the service guys and manager all agree it does not sound or feel right. At the end of the day it will depend on ford or us.

I will go full out Karen down to the haircut if I must.
We all need to wait to see what the engineers at Ford have to say. The course of action is to work with the service managers at our perspective dealers regarding the situation. Be assertive but dont be a ****, we need the dealers on our side. My dealer is working on it. Keep all paperwork and continue to work with them. If the dealer isnt helpful find another one that will be. Keep us all informed on progress.

Ford engineers won't say anything unless they have permission. Ford will only do something about this issue when parts are available or the NHTSA gets involved.

However....I won't be an asterisk asterisk asterisk asterisk. I will be a Karen, I will speak to the manager and my all of my issues will be taken care of.
