Clink Sound on Startup

Hey. New here to the forum and looking to see if anyone has ever experienced a “clink” sound on startup. It’s mainly happened on cold starts when the truck just sits overnight in the driveway.

I’ve read other forums talking about the A/C compressor or the driveshaft, but this is more of a “clink” then a rough “clunk” sound and its in October where I’m not running any A/C in Utah.

Any advice or help before I take it to the dealership to try and get it figured out and fixed.

It's probably the waste gate valve on your turbos. It's a common "issue".

It happens so quickly, I would suspect it’s the bendix on the starter making some sort of contact as it retracts.

Sounds like the starter disengaging from the flex plate.
