A big difference in weight between materials is fine, but effective weight reduction on a 3 ton vehicle? That is a different story.

I still like the look of the hood vent, but too many dirhams.

I would only consider carbon fiber parts for its strength benefits. The Raptor is too heavy for the weight benefits to be worth the cost. So far everything I've seen is trim parts and gain nothing by being stronger. Fenders and bedsides might be the only exception, but unless you've spent some money on the suspension first, it's pointless. I also personally hate the look of bare carbon fiber. It looks unfinished. I feel like exposed carbon fiber is trim is too ricer. It's the modern equivalent of neon under body lights or clear taillights.

Also does anyone know if a carbon fiber stubby would work? It would pair nicely with the carbon fiber antenna base I saw somewhere and together they would have to save at least a few pounds.

I'd like one of all the things in this thread for my Raptor. It is currently 28.6 ounces too heavy and I feel like this would really get the weight and balance correct for sending it over starbucks islands.
