Went to install my side vents. The aligning tabs on mine appear or be off by quite a bit. Did you guys just hack off your aligning tabs on the raptor?

They take some work and care to get in. Don’t force anything. Get one lined up and adjust them until the others are lined up and then push them in. Take your time and do not force. There shouldn’t be any reason to cut tabs off.

^^ Unless the tabs are molded at a curve and don't line up with the slots in the fender.

not the tab for me. It's the part protruding from the fender that's used to align the side vent. The hole on the fender vent is maybe 1/4" off where it needs to be.

Do the molded tabs on the new vent stick straight out or are some or all of them curved?
the tabs are fine, just the "keyhole" standoff is out of place. So it doesn't match the key thats on the fender.

One of mine was like this. The hole on the vent was a little small. I used a small round file and enlarged it just a little bit and it snapped right in.

I have one piece that is the same. Its the passenger side vent that isn’t perfectly aligned and protrudes a little bit

I had the issue with the alignment tab not fitting. Received a second set and had the same issue with the drivers side. Thinking I’ll just cut off the tab on the carbon piece that’s keeping it from being aligned since it’s a fair bit off. Snag has been great through the whole process though!
