They are not the only ones I heard this info from. Even though they had some glaringly wrong info about the new Raptor, they also had quite a bit right. I really think they are working on a V8 for the new Raptor. Not sure what's so hard to believe about it. If they didn't have any V8s available in the truck line anymore or the Mustang, I'd say we'd have no hope but they still exist. I'm going to have faith that Ford will offer at least a V8 option in the new Raptor.
If v8 is an option, lets see how many ecoboost fans will still buy it.
Have any other sources then? All I've seen is reposts of their articleThey are not the only ones I heard this info from. What on earth are you talking about cj motors in SD trucks? Cj motors were 5.4s till 13 then they went 5.0, and besides the fact the internals were different than the f150 5.4 and 5.0, the 5.0 was never available in the SD anywayThat's crazy if it's true. I find it odd they are putting the Cobra Jet motors into Super Duties as an alternative to the diesel. Doesn't seem to me a high HP engine designed a Mustang would do well in a heavy duty truck

Just the same rumors others are hearing mainly from those who have friends at Ford. Obviously everything is rumors and will be for a long time. My dealer, which is really good, has heard the same thing. They even talked about it at one of their meetings. Like to hear a few more 'rumors' before I get excited but combine these low rumblings with the fact I just don't believe our gen2 Raptor beast will only have a v6 option. Don't believe it and won't believe it until proven wrong.

What is really interesting, we are told [with no sources whatsoever provided]– is that this Twin-Turbo V8 could possibly make it’s way into other models of the Ford lineup.....Our guess is we will see the motor in other F-150 models, such as the FX4, Lariat and Platinum – possibly even the Super Duty models as an alternative to the 6.7L Powerstroke Diesel
