Couple of buddies of mine are stationed on the Coronado base in Cali. They have a half dozen Raptors they use for trainng purposes in teaching the newbies how to drive the military AMG Hummers in rough terrain. Raptors are the only vehicles that can keep up with AMG Hummers I am told.

Did it survive that "aquatic" scene? Looks like it would be on the edge of floating, or too buoyant for traction against the current.

I can't imagine it would. I would think it would only keep pace in rough terrain....been those who've tried to play u-boat captain with a Raptor before though

I would love an update with the new gen 2 if Keizer is still around

I don't think they got Gen2's, last year I went through a Border Patrol checkpoint between Las Cruces and Alamogordo and asked them and they said no more Raptors :( Bean counters told them Tahoes cost less, either upfront or long-term I'm not sure, if you're the conspiracy theory type they probably have some sweet deal with the General after the bailout and can trash three Tahoes for the price of one Raptor. On the other hand base Raptors did go up quite a bit since Gen1 I think, so maybe Ford just lost the bid. I think the officers liked them a lot but don't have much sway on what the agency buys.

I also saw a slew of '12s for sale in El Paso last year that were clearly formerly BP (you could tell from the white paint, no nav, cloth interior and missing center console, and almost all of them were right at 100k miles) for cheap ($20-25k) but waaaaay beyond broken in...
