I've been trading up on trucks every 3 years so resale has always been important to me. I am already thinking of a 2017 Raptor. If they don't make em, then I am not sure how long I'll keep it, most likely longer than normal.

I was between silver and white, but chose silver in the end.

The only two colors that I feel would get extra consideration at the time of resale would be terrain and black:
Terrain: Some people, like me, hate it. I would drive farther and pay more for a non-Terrain Raptor if I was buying a used one.
Black: While I love black and think it's the best looking color on nearly any vehicle, I wouldn't buy one for a daily driver. They're too hard to keep clean and show scratches too easily. With that said, many people specifically seek out black, so this one may balance out.

Molten Orange may be another color, but it's not available anymore so it doesn't really matter. I really like the color, but I only like it on someone else's truck.

I would have gotten molten orange too... It was the first color I saw the raptor in, and to me, the original "raptor" look

I want something unique, that stands out, but not too desperate like the red or blue.

Blacks HIDES the great identifying features of the raptor, while silver is a little bit boring...

Terrain is awesome but when i first saw it I definitely didn't care for it. Its "grown" on me and I like the rarity of it... and the truck is going to be outside mostly, i don't believe it will fit in my garage (I would rather my evo be in it anyway)

sigh. its a continuous shit circle

Sorry, however the last thing that went through my mind was if the color was a factor in resale. I've got a 11 blue flame and just ordered a black SE which was the color I had originally wanted. My suggestion is get the color that you like the most and screw the other stuff. Resale value on a Raptor is one of the higest going no matter the color, so as long as it isn't rusted to hell and beat up then you'll be go to go.

I'll admit to one thing in the ordering process. I've got the tailgate step aka stripper pole on the 11 and only actually used it a very small amount and thought should I or shouldn't I and went with shouldn't on the 14. I actually had a micro second of thought on resale but figured no way - I'm keeping this till the wheels fall off and I'm in a old folks home that doesn't allow me to drive anymore.

Well I ordered black on tuesday, and I have a couple weeks before the order gets pulled to make any changes I desire.... but I've been seriously losing sleep over this. I love black. My evo 9 and X are black. I would prefer a gunmetal gray color but black is pretty sweet... I just don't want to deal with the rock chips and scratches of black on this off road truck!

Hence the silver.... or Terrain... FML!

How does the terrain look at night?
