Can you run the SW LT's with cats without a Tune?

I get back tomorrow night and was looking to get my exhaust installed on Friday. Issue is that I don't think my tuner will show up till a couple days after the install. Is it safe to run without a custom tune with LT's.

Since I am going to keep the Stock CAI till I get the tuner in my hands I was thinking it should be safe to run the Stock intake with the LT's and factory tune. I am running cats with the LT's so should not throw a CEL from that.

Need to drive up to orlando next week for a Project and want to take the truck not the mustang so hoping it will be OK.

short trips and low RPM driving i would think should be ok. but i wouldnt push it much. if u have another vehicle to use i would rather be safe than sorry. your AFR may be off by not being tuned for the LT's

Seeing how the stock CAI will be used the AFR should not be an issue. I am going to check with a tuner to make sure but from my previous experience with cars and headers I am thinking it should be fine. The MAF table should not need to be adjusted, we have wideband o2 sensors and other than a CEL from the wibeband not heating up fast enough I think I will be OK. The battery will be disconnected so it should learn enough to make up the difference, just will not get the full performance gains till the tune is loaded.

I think it will throw the O2s off, this is way most Tuners simply turn them off.

Are you at least going to change the filter element?
The stock element is pretty restrictive.
Just my 2¢.

I have an AEM dry filter for the stock airbox. And the Corsa CAI will be delivered on Thursday (The CAI is not getting installed till I have the custom tune). Was going to hold off on the CAI but was able to buy the corsa from a member that ran it for a week for $250 with the Donaldson powersore filter.

This way I can wait another month or two before I pickup the whipple.
