yes, gears skipping in normal mode is how factory programs it. makes it smoother for the 'mall crawlers'The gears skipping are normal. That is how the transmission is designed.

the harsh shift from park i've experienced more often than I'd like.. Feels like shiite when it does happen. It will happen more when you rev it, and even wait 1 minute, then shift into drive, but will do it all by itself sometimes.
Hopefully this will go away as I now have the tune from JDM and at least the skipping of gears is gone and have not felt the lurching getting into drive so far. This tune's learning seems to be better so far ( only had it a week now, and maybe 120-150 miles ) as well.
