Can I get alittle help with motion X on ipad?

I have downloaded the app and have received the email with the snoball route. SO how do I get the route in the app? Also I'm not going to have the cell service so what maps do I need and how do I download them?

I know this much, once you download the maps, you don't need cell service. It runs off the GPS, not the cell.

I think you still need to download the map. Al the route is, is the route. You need the background.

I'll see if I can find the directions I got last time.

No luck. Hopefully someone else can explain it.

Once I opened the email map. I just held my finger on the map I needed for the motion x it brought up the motion x icon. It says open in motion x app. Then just tapped the icon and it loaded it into the app. If that makes sense. Am definitely not computer savvy but did stay at a holiday inn express once lol.

I did it with iTunes. It was fairly simple. If clicking the file in your email works that'd be the easiest way.

Make sure when you download the map tiles that you set the zoom to max. You might want to get the "terra" maps along with the road ones.

What do you set for min zoom?

I usually use the extremes on max and min. But I have a 32G iPad dedicated to motion x

I could only go to 17 max zoom. Min doesn't really effect the size. Should've went with the 32gb. To cover Snoball routes at 17 zoom is 9.4gb

When I open the file for google earth I get the map with the route on it. But when I try opening the file for motionX I just get a bunch of numbers and words and stuff, almost it the code. Do I have to download the maps first even if I'm here on my home wifi. From what I think I gathered here the more I zoom in the more memory it is going to take up, right? If so what zoom is the best bang for the buck, as I only have 16gb ipad? And wahat is the iTunes method?
