So my 2017 is finally set to get the phasers done at 80k. While they have the front of the motor off, is there any other parts that should be replaced that are not covered by the install/recall. Just dont want to have them do it and then someone tell me later, you should have replaced this ( insert part name) while they had it apart. Any advice would be appreciated.

I would recommend replacing the thermostat. They seems to experience issues fully opening after being removed and exposed to open air. You could also be proactive and replace the coolant pump if desired, but its not necessary.

Mine is going in a 42k on 7NOV22. I might ask them to put in cooler plugs. They said it includes an oil change which is nice…

Was thinking of changing to the SPD 170 after the phaser job is done. Once this is done, Im almost out of warranty so Cobb FMIC and 170 thermo are prob going on next.

Having my phasers done next week dropping off Monday, picking up Friday. I'm replacing T-stat with an SPD 170, water pump, drivers side valve cover (mine is cracked like many others), having them inspect timing chains and tensioners for premature wear and replacing if needed. 2017 with 67XXX miles. Fingers crossed they reconnect everything correctly and I don't have any issues after.
