hello posted in the general discussion about the cam/phaser etc; would love to see something from ford in writing on how long these will be covered. My original problem was 11/2020. has issue rattle come up about 3 weeks ago. truck in for repair now. I'm covered for the repair because its under 1 year for service. but would love to see the actual extension of the warranty.
If you had 21B10 completed you’ll get a letter in the mail for 21N03 with the details.

They’re covered by base powertrain warranty, which is 5 years/60k miles. For those out of powertrain warranty, program 21N03 extends that coverage to January 1, 2023 and up to 89,999 miles. That coverage is pro-rated; up to 69,999 miles is 100% covered, up to 79,999 is 66% covered, up to 89,999 is 33% covered.

The coverage in 21N03 only applies if you have 21B10 completed by February 28, 2022.

Thank you. I'm right around 35k, and just started hearing the rattle on cold starts. Time to visit the dealer.

No. Those are extended warranty coverages. If you already had 21B10 completed them no additional action is necessary.
Yup just check my service bill when i went for oil change last month.. the did the 21B10 recall ..

I just purchased my truck and got it for a decent price due to the cam phaser noise & iwe grind. My truck has 72k does this mean I’ll be pro rated?

Also for those who have their cam phasers replaced with the newer updated parts is it safe to say that the issue won’t come back?

I purchased my truck from an individual but my dealer is willing to let me purchase a Ford extended warranty

thanks s much for researching this. really appreciate it. hey by the way notice a gas peddle vibration that I thought was associated with the cam phaser but its still there after repair. I only had truck for one day; doing a weekend trip and some mild off roading so will test things out more . thanks again

Can anyone share a rough estimate on what the 21n03 costs if you have zero coverage from the dealer? My truck had the cam phasers replaced under warranty and has never since made a start up rattle. It has however started to show the same codes as it did before (p0018, p0021) and runs poorly with a huge loss in power. Today at Ford it got the 21b10 at 77k miles, and is being scheduled for the 21n03 in the next few weeks. Hopefully I am still 66% covered when it goes in, although I will likely be into the 80k mile range.
