What's up guys,

So I had the cam phaser done I go pick up the truck and get a CEL driving home. I bring it back they clear it and apologize that the hose was loose.

I drive it home and again get CEL same code. I start looking around right away i see intake clamp was completely loose. I tighten the clamp clear the code and drive it again. But of course, it comes back on i start looking more what can be loose.

Please tell me how do you forget to put the OIL dipstick back in so OIL dipstick is missing.

The Code is: P04DB

That code is for crankcase pressure.

Question: Can a missing oil dipstick throw this code?

I seriously doubt a missing dip stick would throw a warning light.

So the shop that did your cam phasers managed to miss a loose clamp AND the oil dipstick not once, but on 2 visits.

You simply should not turn your keys over to some shops

Wow! Quality work, eh?! That's what i'm afraid of. I understand we're human, but sloppy work scares me the most. Makes you wonder what else they did wrong.

That's just lazy, lazy service work. Obviously this tech was in a hurry to go home.

Yes a missing dipstick or loose oil cap will set that code, see it all the time because some don't push stick all the way down to seal tube..

Good lord, the shop that forgot to replace the dipstick and tighten the intake clamps is the shop that disassembled and reassembled the entire top of the engine. What did they miss in there, where it really counts? The more I read about cam phasers, the more I think that if it does ever surface on my 19, I'll probably just live with it.

That's exactly where I'm at. Rattle started on my 19 at 12k. After talking to the dealership I'm just going to leave it until I either get ready to sell it or run up on the 5 years / 50k miles powertrain warranty.
