It doesn't effect the safe operation that's why. No auto manufactures fix or do work, except for emissions in some cases, to cars with expired warranties. No one. TSB's are advisory's on parts, procedures and labor. Recalls are safety only. This isn't a safety issue.

Your beef should be with the original owner of your truck, or selling dealer for not fixing it ahead of time. Used cars are "as-is, no warrantees" after the manufacture warranty ends.

If a phaser is within the faulty population that the TSB addresses, it will exhibit the concern well within the warranty coverage period.

If an owner waits until after the 5/60k powertrain warranty expires to have the issue addressed, Ford may still contribute to the cost or cover the entire repair on a discretionary basis. If you bought the vehicle brand new, you’re much more likely to get assistance.

So they just changed mine at the dealer, it has that whipple tune on it
They call me to say that they couldnt reflash the truck after the repair, but they think its due to that shock sensor antitheft device i installed ? I dont know whats causing it, told them disconnect it and try flashing
Any suggestions ?

It may be due to your aftermarket tune. If IDS does not recognize the calibration, the programming can fail.

What is a "shock sensor anti-theft device"?

Did you install it yourself or did the dealer sell it you when you bought the truck?
