I think I have narrowed it down to the aFe Stage 2 CAI but I can't decide. I am not looking to tune my truck for a while after I get it so a CAI that doesn't require a tune is what I need.

I'd like to hear some of y'alls input!

That's what I have. No complaints. If you get the cover make sure you put it on before you get going. I didn't realize it needs to go on towards the beginning.

Is the cover really that necessary?

If you plan on hitting any kind of water. Even puddles in the street. Or get a pre filter sock that is water resistant for it.

I would not recommend the AFE due to fitting and quality isues.

I don't think I recall reading about your issues with this. What was wrong?

I didn't have any fitment issues at all. I cannot contest to the quality yet. It seems like a good product but The Snoball will be a good test.

the stock silicon connectors suck. everyone i know that has an AFE has upgraded them cause they pop off all the time and rip.

i've had my AFE stage 2 for over 3 years now with no issues at all. the cover isn't necessary. ive ran through mud and water and never had any get into the box and my rubber connecter boots are perfectly fine no cracking or dry rotting so maybe you just got a bad set i don't know. it doesn't require a tune to run it and without the tune it even helped the truck breathe a lot better

That's weird. I'll keep an eye on them. I just checked it after 100 miles to make sure everything was tight.
