Let's be honest here, all the big name companies have products that work.
So then your down to customer service and marketing! And companies like Rigid has HUGE marketing budgets

I would never care what baldwin or menzies or anyone else is sponsored by. I take the opinions of those who have used them as a basis for what I buy, like in the threads here with first hand experience.

I do look at what the top guys run. Its not a matter of who BJ or anyone else is sponsored by. Those guys have choices and performance is more important than anything. If they are running something on the truck its more likely because it works for them IMO.

So I'm trying to understand the marketing side of this industry, no one here including myself could care who is sponsoring a racer, yet companies are spending huge amounts of $ on them in hopes that it'll pay off Im assuming, where is the return coming from if no one buys cause of the marketing

You don't think the top guys are getting free equipment plus more likely kickback money on top of that? What better marketing if they can get it on one of those trucks regardless if it might or might not be the very best.
