Engine took a dump at 105k miles. Been waiting and thinking on what I should do next.

Just read all the horror stories of RMB. Anyone else besides a factory replacement you guys recommend?

Also, I am planning to send the trans out to be refreshed while I've already got the truck torn down. Any other parts that I should be replacing?
Generally I am thinking of alternator, all hoses, wheel bearings, cv axles. Planning to dump $15k on this truck to make it brand new again.

Any direction or advise I greatly appreciated. I hate working on factory vehicles, but I hate the shop labor rate more.

I went down the same path after my engine blew and honestly wish I did a 5.0 conversion. I did a new long block with a goose tuned 750 kit. It runs great but for a few more nickels I could have a supercharged Coyote.

For the transmission refresh check out sun coast performance. I visited their facility, pretty incredible!
