Buying a 2nd 2010-14 Raptor (or a first)

Haven't really seen a thread where we can just talk about things to look for when buying a used Raptor. Post some links to Raptors for sale, etc. Thought I'd see if we could create a thread to discuss buying a second used Raptor or maybe your first.

I'm in the same boat. I am going to be watching for prices to come back to normal in the next year or so.

Transmission

1. Valve Body Clips (One of mine was broken at 100k)
2. Valve Body Bridge Seal (mine was ready to fail at 100k)

Pull the trans pan and look at the clips holding the solenoids. There is also a bridge seal that gets squished and could leak and lose pressure.

Looking at a 2010 6.2 SVT tomorrow & got a bunch of pics beforehand. CarFax looks good. Frame looks immaculate as the truck supposedly spent much of its life in Arizona with the first owner. I see others mentioned to be concerned with rust in corner rear bottom of cab. One side has a tiny bit of rust peaking through. Zoom in on first pic.
I’ve seen other 2010 Raptor’s with some pretty heavy rust, so guessing I shouldn’t be totally concerned with this? Just need to dig into it a bit & remove/repaint?

Indeed.

Yeah, I gave my cab dimples the first time I went out with the MDM guys, so by now, most Raptors (except @Bulletnjm) will have them.
