I started looking at used Raptors but soon realized that for 2k-3k more I could have a new one if I negotiated a fair price. That's how much they depreciate. What I was finding were 1 and 2 year old trucks with 15,000+ miles priced about the same as invoice.

Welcome! You are definitely in an enviable position of not having to worry about fuel costs, esp in Ca. It sounds perfect for your needs, and you might even branch out and add some offroad adventures to your recreational lineup
