Hi all, new to this forum. The paint is peeling off the driver's side bumper and causing it to rust. I went to the dealership yesterday and they told me today that it wasn't covered by the warranty due to it being caused by stone impacts.... It is between the bumper and the headlight housing under that rubber seal and there is no damage to any other painted surfaces there. I wanted to know if anyone else has had this issue so I can have some kind of argument for them..

Thanks!!

There was just another thread about that rubber causing paint damage, but not as severe as yours.

That's not from paint chips or rocks, that's paint peeling and bad. I would go to a body shop and get an estimate and ask them what caused it and then take your complaint up with that dealer or another one if needed, now that you'll have a written estimate and such.

I did go to a body shop and they said to have it fixed on warranty because it was a defect for sure... Apparently the claim was refused by Ford directly not just the dealer. I'll try to see another dealer and see what they say.

Thanks all
