GEN 2 Builtrite Mount, 67 Design and RAM mounts

Do these setups work well offroad? Though the design of it looks good, it's still holding a big heavy thing on the end of a long lever arm on a ball mount that's fixed to a plastic trim panel...it'd seem like it'd jiggle quite a bit. Have a huge heavy phone.

My current alternative idea is one of the ProClip mounts...the cubby-mount (opposite trailer brake) version I had in my gen 1 was fantastic. But not digging ProClip's over-dash Gen 2 design. May try their adjacent-to-cup-holder mount.

I’ve run 67Designs on my Jeep for the last year and a half. I can’t speak to Baja, high speed, off roading but for crawling it is rock solid.

Bought myself a 67 Designs arm/phone holder and BuiltRight base.

So far I'm quite happy with it, but had one installation issue. The center dash plastic piece the BuiltRight base bolts through had a good deal of play in my truck, such that it rattled over washboarded/cobblestone roads.This was the top plastic piece hitting the dash.

I added some stick-on rubber weatherseal around the forward edge (shown in photo) and also on he left/right edges of it (not shown in photo, I put it on afterward).

(and yes, I put the three white clip/inserts things back on before reinstalling...took them out for test fitting).

By adding the weatherstripping, the plastic clips are now slightly tensioned, so that it's not moving up and down making noise. No offroad testing yet but it was rattle free driving over mall speedbumps at a speed that would throw your Starbucks latte everywhere.

And would anyone know where I can get some more of those white clips? Lost a few removing the speaker.

over 10 mph, that’s achieving. Unless you’re one of those heathens that fills the latte to the top of the cup rim of course. mall speed bumps were made for testing Raptor suspension. mall security guys all love it too, doing the wave and asking for donuts with hand gestures.

i’m considering that mount as well, good to know I can make it mall speed bump proof.

I love mine... No real abusive off roading since I installed it, but I have every reason to believe it stout enough to handle most things...

I got the Polished carbon fiber and the adapter to work with the 1" ball.

And I used a Raopy graphics dark Ford emblem to cover up 67 designs logo which was too much for my eyes to behold every time I sat in my truck!
