Build date of 4/17 when will I realistically get my truck?

Sucks about your wait man, sorry. But that does make sense, if they are grouping paint codes together on the same line.

My build date was originally 3/28. But I asked the dealer to change the color and add/delete some options (order was originally dealer stock) when I paid a deposit on 3/10, so Ford pushed out the build date to 4/17. I was just glad that all the changes I wanted took.

Now that would make a lot more sense, if I had made alterations to my order. Would be so much more excusable if I had somehow complicated the process for Ford and my dealer. But I never changed my order. Held true and fast. And continually kept being pushed back. When I ordered in July, my sales guy, who I know very well (he's one of those rare ducks that actually maintain their position in the industry, at the same dealer), told me to expect the truck in January. Then February. Then March........and now the dealer still maintains the same ETA of April 24, but also concedes that the build date of March 31 no longer exists on the schedule. I want to be optimistic, but I smell more blood in the water...

I was under the understanding that u can change your until u get a vin. it wouldn't affect any thing with your order. So if u change your order u think it gets delayed more?

OK clarification - I called Ford Performance and they told me that my truck is scheduled to be built week of 4/17, not on 4/17 as I had thought earlier.

They also said that if you ordered a spray-in bedliner (which I did), that part is done "offsite" and takes a couple of extra days before they ship your vehicle to the dealer.

I changed color and options even after VIN was assigned, so it can be done. Yes, it pushes out your build date. Dealer has to submit a "change order" which has to be accepted by the plant and then build rescheduled.

My dealer is in central mass, My truck is scheduled for 4/10. Ford performance confirmed that 4/10 Monday it will actually start production. I originally had an ETA of May 5th to 11th. Once they knew it actually was going into production that Monday my new ETA was changed to April 24th to May 4th. My dealer has been getting them in earlier than expected so I am pretty confident mine will show up last week of April.
