my vehicle wrap guy said the best way to get any stains out (grease, oil….etc) is to gently wipe isopropyl alcohol on the vinyl.

Diluted isopropyl alcohol would be a cleaner of last resort. It should be used very cautiously and in moderation, as it can cause damage.

It is always best to start with the least aggressive method first, and work your way up as required.

Most definitely watered down and I agree you only use it if you try any other less aggressive methods first.

Could you possibly use a wet clay bar ?

A clay bar should NOT be used on matte vinyl, as it can damage it.

On gloss vinyl, a clay bar might help some, depending on what you are trying to clean off, but a cleaner is most likely going to work better.

Harley Davidson makes an aerosol "Spray Cleaner" which they designed for use on their matte paint. It can be used on any surface at all and has no wax in it, so it's safe on textured plastic, paint, leather, etc. It works great on the vinyl wrap on the truck and is what I always use for cleaning crud off if I'm not doing a complete wash. They also make a product called "Harley Gloss", which is a pump spray and can be used on all of the same surfaces...It's great too since it won't leave any residue either...
