That's a bummer, I know my insurance has full glass and zero deductible on it which is nice.

Which state? Having insured vehicles in many different states, I find that it can be specific. NY is the only state I've insured in that provided $0 deductible auto glass.

On My insurance in CT I have a zero deductible on glass

I don't think u should or can blame the shop for a pre existing damage. Be happy with a discount on the tint
