Hey everyone, so a year and a half ago or so I installed a bunch of goodies, the one in particular is the SPD downpipes with built in turbo adapters. Recently we noticed an exhaust leak with this cold weather -40 degrees. Upon inspection it looks like the bolt broke off flush with the flange on the turbo. SPD supplies an allen bolt I believe that is stainless.

What is my fix here? Stainless is going to be a B**** to drill and extract. As much as I beat the crap out of the Raptor, and use it to tow my enclosed trailer with sxs and camping gear, we aren’t ready to fork out the money for upgrades turbos.

** No turbo adapters, no studs, these DP’s delete the stupid turbo adapters and mount flush to the turbo**

**** Edit - What is the thread pitch for these bolts/studs that go in to the turbo? ****

Thanks In Advance!IMG_0290.jpeg

it probably will come out.. spray it down real good, when hot and then again when cold. I like PB blaster or Kroil..

its not bottomed out, or twisted off, so might not be a bad job at all..

ive had decent luck with a pick tool, automatic center punch, or reverse drill bits..

Let’s hope, luckily it is the outside bolt so access is easier, I did try a pick, my theory was the same, it shouldn’t be under tension so it should come out. At this point I think it’s a turbo out job, don’t really want to pull the DP out again, they didn’t go in very easily. Was hoping I could turn it with a chisel.
