Hello,
I am kinda miffed at the dealer. My 2012 mirror popped out when I hit the garage opening. It hit just so the housing compressed and couldn't fold back. The glass is intact but the small round plastic piece that connects the motor to the mirror backing plate broke. They told me it would cost over $800 to replace the whole assembly but would give me a deal on just the mirror and motor for $386. My father has a 2010 Lariat and he did the same thing and it was fixed for $90! When I pointed that out they said "that wasn't a Raptor" I looked at his old one and the motor and mounting plate are the same. The shape of the glass differs slightly- is this due to the 2010 vs 2012 model or does the Raptor really have a totally different mirror? What are my options on the repair? Thanks for any advise!
