Thank you for the nice compliment.
I explained what I did because I expect that the average Raptor owner is likely to be more than capable of fabricating such a simple device. It only took me 30 minutes with nothing more than hand tools and a bench vice. Same thing with the dead pedal I made several years ago - if I can figure it out, then anybody should be able to copy it.

That's only phase one. Phase two will be to protect the horn wires with flexible electrical conduit. Phase three will be to protect the hood release mechanism.

Jimmy Jammer makes a protection plate for the hood release mechanism, so that should help you with Phase 3.

The horn and taillights are my next security measures. I've already had a break-in on the door handle. Jimmi Jammers in all 4 doors, lock rod removed from driver door, and passenger handle painted/installed on driver's side.

Are you in Toronto? The car theft here is bad.
I am in the GTA.

These a s s h o les can roam around freely. Cops don’t come - report is done online. Attitude is that owner just goes thru insurance.

I watched the surveillance video and these 2 richards just sauntered over to my truck, unhooked the horn, wrenched the lock cylinder and got in.

I’d like to move.

Well, I think that it's an inadequate design. It leaves the 10mm hood latch bolts exposed, and that means that a 10mm nut driver could be forced through the grill (neither you nor I would do this because we wouldn't want to break the expensive grill, but a thief wouldn't hesitate) to unscrew those bolts. Then the hood could be raised taking the whole latch mechanism with it. I'm going to make that impossible. It's just a sheet metal project, so I'm surprised they didn't bother to cover all the bases with their design.

The Hood Latch Jimmi Jammer for the Raptor is PN 5471. Here is a thread on the installation of that part on a Tremor. You can see that the bolt heads remain exposed after the Jimmi Jammer is installed.

Do you sell the jimmi jammers or where did you get them from?

I don't have my Gen 3 yet but should be a few weeks. Instead of a 10mm could you just remove them and add rivet instead?

Stack nylon washers held with snap ring. Will not completely stop them but it will frustrate them and buy some time.

Whoever designed these door looks is an idiot savant. Pathetic. BS carried over from Gen 2s.

So the GEN2 had just as bad designs?
