Did you need an extra attachment to mount the ravelco? All I see in that area is plastic, and two bolts about 6" above the plastic. Trying to put it in the same position as you. Wondering how they mounted that tiny 1" clip that came with the kit.

Edit: Installer got it mounted after some investigation. He pulled back the plastic and found a place. All set. This effer won't get stolen without a tow truck now! Next step is to move horn to the engine bay, and wait for a hood latch guard.

Only way relocate the horn.

From what I heard in my area is that these fu c k e rs have it down to a science.

Disable the horn, wrench the cylinder, pull the fuse for the FordPass.

I don’t think they got a good copy on the key fob so they left. Or they got startled.

Now I got this…

Do you disconnect the ravelco plug from the fob every time you drive? Or just let the key fob dangle?

I detach my plug from my key fob using a very small caribiner made niteize. So, when I pull it I clip it together and put in my pocket.

AirTag is another option. Pings off of cell phones.
The Ravelco is your best option. There is no way to bypass it without the fob. It is not a bad idea to have an aftermarket tracker in the truck, but I think most thieves once they realize the vehicle has a Ravelco… will just **** off because they know they are not going to be able to steal it.
