I did this to my 2012 HD 6.2 as well.. Its a friggin beast with awesome low end torque. Some drone at first, but after a tune from 5 star it was even less drone and more quality ROAR!! I am surprised I haven't seen more of this exhaust set up.I have a bit of a long story with mine, but it is "OFF THE HOOK" dude!! LIKE NOTHING ELSE

Do you doing a quick recording of cursing from a stop with light load on the engine? I just got a full SW out in and while the performance is pretty awesome, the drone from 1500-1900rpm is a bit much. If the borla is better in this respect, I may consider selling the SW for it.

Actually, I ended up switching the borla out for SW catted headers to cope with fumes. The idea was to sell the borla to recover my $$. I was clearly disappointed in the lesser performance of the SW and ,"yes" the drone level got louder as everyone has said.Albeit, the resonator was removed which may have caused the drone level to increase.Still sounds great but I am considering a couple options. 1) Up grade to SW true duals with resonators,
2)Slap a resonator on my exhausting set up, 3) Put the Borla headers back on and add an after market CC to deal with exhaust fumes. Way less drone with the Borla, some but much easier to accept than whats coming out of SW

Honestly,I just want that Borla system back on. It is the best!! Either way. I will have an extra set of headers to move in the next few months whenever I figure it out!

what is the gain in hp?

with any quality exhaust system, I believe the industry standard HP gain is approx %10. Which makes sense to me on the 6.2,sure feels like a 30-40 hp power gain overall.Very noticeable gain. The guys at borla have said to me that I can expect at least 25 on their set up. I will be putting my exhausting set up on a dyno soon and will let you know.

I have the Borla S system. 10% hp gain is a BS claim, and is from any manufacturer.

I have SW Headers, Borla S and a 5 star tune, and that bought me about 10% combined on the dyno

I would say cat back systems at most will give you 2-3%, and that is if they don't cause any ECU issues with different back pressures. simply slapping on a cat back system will give you more noise, and you'll feel faster.

I noticed the most with the tune, which again mainly changes shift points and holds gears longer giving the illusion of more hp.

0-60 times with all my work changed about 1 second to sixty.
