Borla Exhaust.

I have the Stinger and it has a slight drone but nothing compared to the Flowmaster 44 series. It sounds great when driving (oddly enough it only sounds good with the windows up) but when at idle and while cruising with the windows down it's not that loud.

If I had to do it over I probably would have saved for the SW system.

I got 2 XL turbo Borla mufflers for 200.00 and had a local shop cut the stock exhaust off at the Y pipe and install a X pipe in its place.

New Borla exhaust= 1K
Custom made system and mufflers less than 400
The exhaust sounds good not to loud maybe a little to quite for me, 1000 mile trip no body knew I had a exhaust, so little to no drone

I made a post with the same complaints as you, little to no drone however the exhaust itself is pretty quiet, I wished it was louder. I may buy the kooks headers with the hiflow cats on the midpipe. It's just 1600$. Is Alot more to spend when I already dropped 1k. On the cat ack system.

I can do you much better than that for the SW Headers and hi flow cats with the forum discount.

Hey John, If you want more sound you could cut out the muffler and put a Flowmaster Super 44 in there. It would run you less then $200 for the muffler and the install.

There is some drone at 2000 rpm with mine but the sound is perfect. Heres a clip with my 5.4, your 6.2 would sound even better.

Glad they shipped a couple days early. The dreaded 5.4, lol.....

FYI, the 6.2 is on the 5 day guarantee guys, the 5.4 can be anywhere from 2-4 weeks.

I will keep you in mind for the headers for sure. My questions is does SW only sell the headers with the midpipe attached, or do they also sell a midpipe that would attach to the stock headers?

I'm thinking that the giant stock cat is what is making my borla exhaust so quiet.

you have 2 header options on the raptor

you have headers that connect to the factory exaust system, and one that is a "performance" connect that bolts to their exhaust.

If the borla attaches to the factory headers, then you would want the headers that bolt to the stock exhaust
