So I've been browsing threads about s/c installs and dyno numbers and this and that yadda yadda but I still have not seen anyone post up where there air fuel ratio is at. I'm curious what everybody is running these trucks at? And why ~9 psi seems to be the stopping point. Are the whipples on these trucks having issues keeping iat'S acceptable?

Just read my post I wasn't too clear on what I was asking.
What's your afr
What's your boost
What's your iat'S
Basically I'm wondering why ~500 rwhp seems to be the stopping point?

Seems to just be a good of balance of power and dependability. Most guys still daily drive their raptor, so they just get the amount of power they can safely get without having to upgrade the entire drivetrain. There are guys that have gone far above 500whp, just not a ton. The craziest engine build I've seen on here is @Biggest. Not sure of the exact numbers though

Its very easy to make over 500 rwhp on the raptor with a Whipple. They don't because the stock internals. Even with 500rwhp you should upgrade the drive shaft.

There was a thread with JDM making great numbers on a truck and then backing it down not because of AF or IAT numbers but because the owner was DD it and wanted to be safe.

If you build the short block and have LT's and a CobraJet or Monoblade TB you can make an easy 700 hp with the whipple. At that point your weak link will be the driveline

Big heavy truck= equals lots of load on the engine thus creating lots of heat. Kind of what I'm wondering is if anyone has done a centrifugal or turbo setup with an efficient air to air intercooler. And kept the a/f fat pump the boost up and see where it's at. When I did my 5.0 bone stock short block it held at a little over 500 rwhp with no issues kept the air charge cool and ran 60 # injectors etc etc did fine driveablity great fuel mileage was better then the raptor too haha I find it really hard to dump 10k in the 6.2 to get 500 out of it seems kinda mediocre

I have two or three videos in the Whipple vs. Roush thread.
There are live PID icons that will show you all your asking.

I just wish I would have paid more attention to keeping fhe PIDs consistent through out the years,
but changing phones, changing injectors with tunes app updates always wipes out the memory in the app.

Don't have any numbers since roush all ready came with a tune. 9 psi. People will tell you that you don't need the extra power to off road. That you can overdrive the truck. I say f that and it's funner off road. Especially if you want to drift off road.

This is why I'm asking questions about this stuff because no one seems to know what there air fuel ratio was and that in my opinion is a highly important part

Well with an all stock engine, I did this.

So I would say stronger axle shafts, drive shaft, transmission build and you are golden. Also you need to cure the axle hop before putting lots of power down.
