Im looking to add some lighting to the front bumper of my raptor. I live in socal and go on trips a few times a year to big bear or anza-borrego, nothing too hardcore. I had xl80's on my a pillar but I just hated the look of them. It appears the best option is a bolt on bumper like the SVC or ADD or a light bar like swarfworks. Right now im leaning towards an SVC bumper with lp4's however I have some concerns...Do these bolt on's offer any benefit over stock or are they just for looks? Will I lose any safety features like crash avoidance etc ( I pay attention when I drive but my wife steals my truck to make unnecessary target trips)? I have an 800a so I dont have adaptive cruise control or the front camera.

My other option is the swarfworks with lp9's (those seem to look the best, but It would def be overkill for what I do).

BD makes a light bar for stock bumper that is really nice. I just put it on mine.

Hey can you include a picture of the Nav screen looking thru the front camera, please? I am just wondering how obstructed it becomes.

There are options for front camera relocation if you want larger lights with the stock bumper. My post history has my setup and build thread.

My $0.02. Your use case might be different.

I’m also in SoCal and have the xl80s on the a pillars. I agree that they look real dumb and whistle on the freeway. Only reason I got them was to be visible from head-on in the dust. The low mounted lights completely disappear in the dust in Barstow. I couldn’t see my buddy at all in my rear view and he has 4x lp9s down there.

I also have 6x squadrons mounted low below the grill on the add bumper, but I use those for night lighting.
