View attachment 161780 According to the dealer they need to pull the engine now and then get with Ford on what they want to do to remedy it, they said rebuild or replace.
You cant make this up, but this was the story told........my truck died and I had it towed home, thought it was a battery although AAA could not start. Took the battery into an auto store, they said its a good battery just need to charge it. I did, no go....had it towed to Ford. They call me on Monday to tell me the truck started, they drove it into the shop, it was a dead battery $269. 3 hours later same day I was told it wasn't running. Tuesday morning I went to the dealer, remember the truck was in the shop but it has 3 inches of snow on it from the night before and sitting outside. Later on Tuesday I received a call that the PCM was not communicating with the truck they have a call into Ford. I showed the service person a picture of my crank which I said I noticed before it was dropped it off, he said that's an oil leak they will fix it. Thursday I get a call that the engine is locked. So in 4 days I had a dead truck that came alive and died again with a $269 battery that was not needed.
