By choosing the BLIS sensor in the tail lights does that option alone upgrade from the standard tail light to the all LED tails?

I would assume, as they looked like completely different housings. Unless the LED housing can support non LED's.

No verifiable data, just my thoughts

There are 3 versions of tails out as of 2016 - Base(no LED), non BLIS LED(king ranch) and BLIS LED.


So yes, if they have BLIS they are LED.
