Big Air Photo Day Trip Lil Sahara Saturday June 15th

Talking with Brandon and the TMX boys today about the need to find a decent jump hill around here for the June Raptor of the Month Airborne Photo Contest. No real winners around here. Time is getting away and we are getting restless.

So we say screw it, Lil Sahara is a little more than 4 hours away from us if you drive fast. Halfway between Tulsa and Amarillo.

Just a quick day trip. Leave early. Travel light. Find the right dune. Pre-run to safely get the right amount of air with a happy ending. Snap awesome airborne pics. Get some good GoPro footage. Drink a few beers. Back home in time for a late dinner.

It's within an easy 5 hour driving distance for the North Texas, Kansas, and Missouri boys (and girls), not to mention you Okies.

Had been hoping for more good jump pics from TRR, but... well... unfortunately they are few and far between.

This is an entirely different ballgame. Guaranteed great adventure and awesome jump pics suitable for framing. Easy air can be achieved by stock Raptors too without damage (if keep jumps within reason). No expensive photographer fees.

Overnighters welcome! Maybe a nearby hotel so you can travel light this time? There will be a full-blown Lil Sahara campout weekend sometime this summer, just not in time for the June Airborne Raptor of the Month photo contest.

Well I might just have to come to this. Always wanted to go to the dunes and I'm probably no more than 3.5 hours away from it in Wichita Falls. I mean I just drove 3.5 hours to Lubbock to see my girlfriend so 3.5 hours to hit the dunes with some of the best guys is a pretty much givin. I'll talk it over with my dad. Would be a good Father's Day activity
