better door detent location mod

My 3.0 drivers door detent started making a creaking noise. Anybody else's making any noise? Passenger side is perfect.

Mine makes a slight rubbing noise (Plastic on Plastic) when it is in the middle detent location on both the driver and passenger side.
But not a creaking noise like you say.

First I would look to see if the single bolt or the two nuts that secures the mechanism to your Raptor are loose. This could be causing the creaking noise that you hear.

The door detent 3.0 is actually a Ford OEM part. It has grease inside the mechanism.
The company that makes the "Door Detent 3.0" drills out the rivets that hold it together then they mill the middle recess which gives the extra detent into the arm.
Then they reassemble it using bolts and nylocks.
If everything is tightened down correctly, then I would suggest taking out the drivers side and take it apart and grease it up.

Thanks R1. I checked the torque on the nuts/bolt and tried some white lithium grease. I emailed the company and they gave me a few things to try also.

My ignorance is getting the best of me lately and id like to stop that. I'd like to be a more informed Raptor owner.

This piece adds a middle position so when your door opens you don't have full open hitting the car next to you or barely open so you can get in. It's a happen medium so you don't door ding someone but can still get in without holding the door
