Best Weight Distribution Hitch for Raptor?

I am curious if you pulled the trigger on any of the options?

Not yet. My wife and I are still debating if we want to get back into the camping world. With COVID-19 around for the long haul, it seems to make more sense than doing hotels, but the numbers in Texas are going through the roof, so they are recommending people just stay home. We camped for many years with fifth wheels and giant F250s after we got married, but this will be our first time with traditional travel trailer and a Raptor.

With that said, I am leaning towards the Anderson 3380 WDH because it is easier to store, does not make any noise when turning, and it can be left on when backing up. I also like the simplicity of the design. The choices are relatively close in price, so cost is really not a factor for me.

10-4; wife and I had similar thought process. All of our concerts/vacations/hockey/Titans football have been cancelled or at least put off so we bought a smaller (2900 lbs) 18' travel trailer. At least we can get away with the dogs for a little bit while staying away from the hot spots/etc. No problem pulling mine with the Raptor w/o a WDH but would probably upgrade next season if this funk is still lingering so that is why I asked.

Have you had issues with the chains? Also, what size did you use for the bumper height adjustment on your Raptor?

Never an issue with the chains. Solid. Not sure what you're asking on the bumper height question. If you're asking what pin I put the OX in, I believe it was the second.

I don’t like the excess length of that hitch, moving the fulcrum point farther from the rear axle is not desirable.

I have not heard of that one, but it is moving the weight a lot further back and the friction points are going to make it very noisy, like the Equalizer 4-point hitch. I bought the Blue Ox 1000 for my TT because it is almost completely silent even when backing up, it pulls off as much weight as the Equalizer and provides excellent sway control. I lift up the back of my truck with the power jack on the TT, so it is very easy to install, plus it has no greasy bars to handle.

I just purchased the Anderson WDH and it is super easy to set up and much lighter than other options. I'd consider that one for sure

I did look into the Anderson WDH since I do like the simplicity of the design and wrote customer service. Unfortunately the length requirement to the bracket is 27-28" which would not fit on the dump trailer that I'm using it on. The Weigh-safe has a range of 27-32" which looks like will work for my trailer.
