Best way to find MSRP allocations currently?

I have never bought a new vehicle in my life before, especially as one highly wanted as a 2017 Raptor.

My question is, what is the easiest way to find a local allocation being sold at MSRP? Just cold calling dealerships? Have a friend on the inside or what? Thanks for everyones help.

And if anyone knows of what I am looking for around the chicago area, you would be my new best friend.

Calling around is the best approach. Limiting yourself to only Chicago area dealerships is probably a bad idea too. Widen the net to outside of the city and possibly outside of the state. Good luck!

Thanks. I am willing to go most anywhere in the lower 48. Just closer would be easier.

It's unlikely that you will be able to buy one off the lot any where near MSRP. You're best to just go to a reputable dealer in your area and order one. Even then you're looking at a small mark up. GL

at this point just go on the facebook group and make a post asking if anyone knows of any. they are getting harder to find, most allocations are accounted for it seems. worst case just prepare to order an 18 or search for a truck that was dealer ordered and still forsale.

Use Ford’s build / price tool and search for local-ish stealerships to call. You can change the zip code of the search tool to expand your search. Ask them if they have allocations, can order and what they’re asking.

don’t get disheartened when the first few come back with “$5000-15000” over MSRP, just keep at it.

If you score success - that is, a deal that you can afford and you can live with get the offer by email if you can. If they’re unwilling to commit to you via email or other “written” means to a cost they’re probably yanking your chain, so be wary.

I have 3 orders that have been built for my business in Colorado. I was beyond irritated with the wait, so I purchased one 3 days ago through another dealership. If you want one of the 3, PM me!

I ended up finding a dealer 2 hours away from me to do an MSRP sale.

I just emailed a ton of dealerships contact me pages and one finally got back to me.

Most super busy cities were 5k to 20k over. I said no thanks and kept on emailing other dealers.
