Agreed above..

And a benefit of 5* is a full powertrain warranty of 50k or 100k miles. On my last daily driver Expedition, it was well worth the peace of mind (for me) and fortunately I never tested it..... Good luck OP..

If you use the tow/haul function with the Gearhead tune it does pretty good... Get the "tow safe" if you are worried about getting things too hot on the performance file. It is also a good daily driver file with about 30 hp over stock.

I am cobb stage 2 with the FMIC and put my tune to stage 0 every weekend when I tow my travel trailer. I can overheat on coolant temps pulling the mountains by my house even with the tune turned down if I romp on it going up the mountains. A FMIC might obstruct enough air flow through the radiator that it can't reject enough heat to keep up and a tune would only pour salt in the wound.
You running premium when towing?
