Plug In

Any pics of where exactly to plug it in? I have mine mounted but can't determine where to plug in. Does the lower dash panel need to come off?

No, it plugs into the ALDL, it where you plug in a computer at the bottom edge of the dash on drivers side.

Be sure to start a new thread if you do this mod... Interested. Looks like the sensitivity is on the divide (left side on your pic). Curious where it plugs in.

I did this awhile back. 5 min install and it works great. I have mine turned up to 3/4 sensitivity. It plugs into the back of the OBD port. If I tap the hood it honks at you.

Just installed mine last night. Definitely easy to do.
I also installed the optional LED light on the dash. I wasn't going to, but I decided to put it on the collision warning LED housing. That pops off very easily, drilled the small hole on the left side of the bracket, and popped the unit back in.

I took some pics

I attempted to install mine, but it didn't seem to be working and gave me a "lane keeping system error - service" pop up on the dash. I just plugged the red plug to the front of the adapter that you took a picture of, but is the black plug supposed to attach to anything? Also does anyone know the difference in alarm setting accessed via the dash menu? You have a choice between all sensors and perimeter sensor.

The shock sensor cable plugs in behind the port. You unplug the connector behind and plug the shock sensor cable in and the plug you removed from the port goes into the other end of the shock sensor cable.

Okay. I first attempted to pull the back side of it off, but it is on there pretty good, and there is an attachment to it that looks like it's made to make sure it doesn't come off. I didn't want to yank to hard on it and break something.

There is a tab to release it. Once you find it not that much force is needed so don't force it.

Edit to add: There is also a retainer with attached wire tie that needs to be cut

Has anyone installed this shock sensor on a 2018 model yet? Same part as the one for the 2017? I would assume it is the same, but you know what happens when you ASS-U-ME.
