The idea is to shake down the Raptor and show the public what it can do in nearly stock trim. Im pretty sure Ford said "Dont be a ******* idiot and destroy the truck and not finish any races."

The idea behind these races is MARKETING. Does no one get that? Ford is showing everyone that they have a capable truck and no one else is entering factory backed trucks into these races (Nissan, Dodge, Chevy, Toyota) in near stock trim.

But by all means tell Ford how to sell trucks, they need help from the peanut gallery.

Who are you arguing with? Might need to relax a little. Stop taking the internet so seriously. You'll have your racetruck soon enough and you can show us all we were wrong [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

"The suspension's ability to soak up the kind of abuse we experienced on the racecourse might have been the most impressive aspect of the new Raptor."
The only thing I have a problem with is this perception of how stock this truck competing in these events really is. Suspension is a huge selling point and the fact that this so called stock class truck won't carry the same impressive suspension is kind of easy to mislead new customers who rely on articles like the one above to get info on potential vehicles. Say what you want about the shocks having the same diameter but having totally different springs and the pairing of remote reservoirs really does make a difference. Don't forget to add different rear bypass shocks and beefier leaf springs and bam you've changed the characteristics of how this truck rides and feels. Lets not all forget to mention that this truck had power windows and Sirius radio and that those are the defining features of how stock this truck really is! [emoji16] This truck is built for the masses but let's market it with a setup that maybe less than 10% of them will ever perform and say how great this suspension was at all these racecourses and that they too will have a race truck without all the stickers this coming fall [emoji196]

I know that Zane just thought that a "race truck" would use bigger shocks than just 3.0's. Bummer that the only thing stock about the shocks are just the diameter size but none the less still pretty impressive that everything else is pretty much stock

This has been gone back and forth about but that is not the stock front shock with a different spring as has been stated in the past, that is an entirely coilover.

I also noticed in Mike Levines video that they have some underbody lighting so you can see/inspect the suspension when it's dark.

Kinda cool
