Speakers behind the seat works for me as well. I want remove the factory sony unit just for the extra floor space.

just waiting for the first one to come into my shop. i have too much stuff back there to be able to use my truck for prototype.

time frame is about a week. since i have to build a mold of the entire area behind the rear seat twice, it eats up a lot of time. the first layers needs to set for 6-8 hours for the fiberglass to cure without shrinking. otherwise, if it gets pulled too quickly, it doesnt fit right in the end. cost is dependent on which equipment is used. maybe around $2,000 for everything. 3 subwoofers, box, amp, power kit, active hi/converter. since its a testing situation, labor would be waived. but amp selection plays a big part in cost. anywhere from $300-$800 for an amp. im still deciding on what kind woofers to use, but i will have a better idea now that im back home. i can focus on making this project come to life
