Pretty cool. Only thing cooler would be some Inspector Gadget job that extended about 12' in the air and had more of a flood light that you could point down. Would be nice for field dressing deer or whatever.

Interesting thought. I have a telescoping golfball retriever that can extend 10-12 feet easily. I'm sure it would be fairly easy to use the telescoping tubes from that golfball retriever to do exactly what you're thinking. Then you would be able to get the light much higher. Of course, you'd need a lot more wire to go that high though.
