since your bed is already scratched and dented, then id say do line-x. if it was new and pristine id say bedrug. i love my bedrug and was talked into it by the guys on this forum, and with Morrie, it was cheaper than line-x.

also you dont NEED a cover with a bed rug, its rubber and synthetic carpet. you can wash it with a power washer. its basically a drop in bedliner but made of rubber instead of hard plastic.

great thread! yall know what i would do :) i have usually used a bedmat on top of my liners over the years just for hauling pallets full of crap and TRYING to keep my liner in decent shape. I am on the extreme end of the abuse scale, a bedrug just wouldnt cut it for me. i do sell them though. Not sure if Line-X corp would ever become a preferred vendor, but individual franchisees like me are all over the boards.

Any concern of water/moisture trapping under the bedrug, setting up an environment for corrosion?

paint and clearcoat do not corrode. the bed rug doesnt move and is a soft rubber and foam padding on the bottom that doesnt scratch the paint. so nope, no worries of corrosion in a pristine brand new bed. i was gonna go line-x myself at first and got talked into bedrug when i heard the price (from Morrie) and testimonials from guys around here that had bedrugs for many years in other trucks.

the old drop in hard plastic bedliners shift and rattle and mar the paint exposing metal and will cause corrosion. also why i said to go line-x with his bed already scratched up.
