One of my must-do mods is
Truck Covers USA- aluminum retractable tonneau covers.

Big question is whether to
- LineX entire bed?
- LineX Side Walls only? with BedRug on bed floor?
- LineX entire bed + BedRug on Bed floor (overkill?)

Any opinions or alterantive suggestions are appreciated...

thanks in advance

I wanted something easier to clean up than Bedrug, because I hunt a lot and didn't want to clean blood out of the bedrug. I was hesitant about LineX, because if I move furniture, etc, I didn't want to have to protect it from the LineX, which is quite rough.

I went with Bedtred. Very easy to clean up, otherwise very similar to bedrug. Since it's non-permanent, I figured I could go with LineX later if I wanted to.

Happy with my choice. Most people that see it initially think it's a spray-in.

I will say though if you have the stowable bed extenders, the holes you have to cut in the bedtred need to be larger than you think.

Hmm..I like the BedTred. The only thing I'm concerned about is water getting into the bed through the bed cover and then getting trapped under the BedTred potentially causing rust/mildew. Think it's a concern?

I'm thinking the same thing.
Truck Covers USA does have drainage for moisture/rain. Not sure how much gets actually drained and what is trapped in the bed.

I'll probably have to do some research (call them up)
For sure I'm going to use Truck Covers USA. My buddy at work has it.....looks/built tough.

Do LineX and then get a bed mat. LineX would seal the bed completely from water that may cause rust and the bed mat would make it soft so you could haul fragile items and not scratch them. Some pics below of my truck:

I prefer the Line-x. Fragile items go in the cab with me.

The TCUSA will leak a little, but it's not too bad. Mostly at the tailgate, drainage takes care of the rest.

Also, there are sometimes gaps between the pieces that make up the bed as well. I could see daylight between a couple of mine. Line-x will help seal those off too.

P.S. I have a TCUSA American Work cover for sale if you're interested in a rolltop with an integrated toolbox. PM for details.

I wasn't concerned about the bedtred leading to rust - very little moisture gets in under my cover (from other gaps), and I applied a tailgate seal around the gate.

The bedtred is not like a plastic drop-in liner. It's soft on the underside and isn't going to scratch off the paint in the bed. Painted surfaces don't rust. Plastic drop-ins wear off paint and lead to rust from water trapped under them. Not so with bedtred.

The bedtred acts as a pad as well.
